APPETITE is a project conceptualized within the year of 2005 and has been mutating throughout its years. Taking unconventional expression and infusing it in to poignant prevalence, the highly publicized APPETITE has seen its steadfastly evolving project grow in to an influential art gallery for its first 5 years. Founded within one of South America's cultural capitals, Buenos Aires' eyes gazed upon APPETITE's instigating force on the local art scene, turning its curious stare on to its young eccentrically daring artists. New York, London, Milan, Miami, Vilnius, São Paulo are just a few places APPETITE has toured to show its unique approach to art, parties, music, events, design and other such media. Now in 2011, APPETITE is taking on Beijing, connecting and interacting with Chinese culture, art and events. Its aim is to synergize the contemporary Chinese landscape with the premise DO IT FAST WRONG, a concept that explores the ideals and uninhibited nature of the "work in progress" process. The ambiguous notion of having a work either failing or succeeding is to be imagined by the unfinished. Success or failure is not a necessary outcome in the work, but is merely a point of departure. The experimental project includes artists that have been researched within the grand scope of Beijing and Hong Kong in order to bring together and invite diverse voices to exhibitions in the 798 and Caochangdi art areas from all over China's abundant arena in midst of its modernistic burst of development. Artists invited at different stages of the projects are, so far: Megumi Shimizu, Japan – performance and video
